The Penn State Center for Socially Responsible Artificial Intelligence (CSRAI) will host Dana Calacci, Penn State Institute for Computational and Data Sciences (ICDS) co-hire and assistant professor in the College of Information Sciences and Technology, who will present a talk for CSRAI’s AI for Social Impact Series.
Calacci will present, “How AI is Reshaping Your Paycheck: Personalized Wages in the Inference Economy,” will discuss how companies are using AI to change how they set pay.
The event will take place on Wednesday, April 23, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in E202 Westgate Building at Penn State University Park and will also be viewable via Zoom.
Calacci’s research focuses various impacts of datafication and AI on communities, more specifically, workers. She designs technologies that help communities investigate how AI, new platforms and surveillance affect their lives, according to the event listing on Penn State News.
